My Mind Wants To Travel at Warp Speed

 This morning when I turned on the computer, I spotted an article on mindfulness that I wanted to read but I had a zillion things on my to-do list so I pulled up the article and began to skim... I got to the end of the article, remembering pretty much nothing...

So where did I learn this skimming technique... sadly from school I think. Way too much homework and not enough time... so I skimmed and probably absorbed about half of the info I needed for the lesson.  I was doing it again.

I have a Power-Up that tells me to slow down and having remembered it, I went back to the beginning of the article and began to read slowly... word for word.  That lasted for about 30 seconds before I began skimming again. I slowed myself back down and reread the last sentence and then continued with fits and starts... man this is hard!! It seemed to take me forever to get to the end of it and then I realized that today is Sunday. I have all day to read the article if I wanted to... Time is all mine!!

So, that's what I want you to do today... slow down and read every word, savor every sip of coffee... whatever you are rushing through
